Horses

It's been a while since I've put some updated photos of the horses up here so I'd thought I'd start by sharing some photos of Ciara. She's now nearly 2 months old and is losing her foal coat. As you can see she's going to be a beautiful dark brown under all that fluff. The photos are courtesy of the lovely Lou Wilsden of Talisman Farm Sport Horses.

Here are some pics of Mack and Foxy. Mack went off to be started by Dave Marshall of DM Training. Chris and I dropped him off at Dave's place in Onewhero. It was a bit of a hike to get there and my first big trip towing the float. The float towed like a dream and Mack travelled well (eventually, once he'd stopped calling out to all and sundry!).

Around the farm

Just a few pics of what's been happening here lately.

The hedge down the driveway has been removed and replaced with a post and rail fence. It looks much smarter but we are definitely more exposed. Lucky we have curtains now as you can see the cottage from the road.

Chris purchased a tractor. It is an older one but is in good condition. It came with a mower which will be helpful in keeping the grass (and weeds) in check. We can also use it for spraying the weeds as well.

The stables are progressing well. Chris spent Sunday putting up the plywood lining in the stable area. He also made a start on the lining inside the shed. It's looking great!
