Cottage update

Just a quick update on what's been happening at Waterford Estate. The plumbers and electricians have been busy during the week.

The plumbing has been installed and we now have running water. I was very excited and turned on all the taps, turned on the shower and flushed the toilet - just because I could! There isn't any hot water yet as the electrician's haven't quite finished with connecting up the power. The light switches, power plugs and light fittings have all been installed though, and its looking really awesome. The gas fitters have been in to connect the gas hobs, califont and the heater.

Gas hobs in kitchen

Toilet & vanity (note bow handles on vanity - these are the wrong handles!)
There was a bit of a hiccup with the vanity, it was installed with the wrong handles. We ordered flat bar handles to match all the other flat bar handles in the bathroom on the shower, cupboard doors and the laundry tub. Apparently the correct handles are the same spacing so they will come back out and replace the correct handles when they arrive. Someone at the plumbing outfit must have been sleeping the day we ordered our stuff, as the shower handle was the wrong one too!

Laundry cupboard

Flue for the gas heater

Dishwasher (no its not blue, it is just the plastic protective film on it)

Outside lantern

Kitchen with lights installed

Halogen work lights in kitchen

Wardrobe handles

Halogen work lights about vanity

Heat lamp and extractor fan in bathroom

Heated towel rail in bathroom with (correct) shower installed

Handles on laundry

Lights in lounge

Gas califont for hot water

Gas bottles and califont

Chained in place so they don't fall over

The electricians are back next week to finish off, then the painters come back to touch up all the scuff marks that have appeared during the week. Code of compliance is booked for Wednesday, followed by our carpet and vinyl on Saturday. The big move in is the Thursday after that, so its going to be an exciting next couple of weeks.
