Ciara came home today. She arrived this afternoon after a long journey from Talisman Farm which began yesterday morning. She camped overnight in Bulls, and continued her journey North this morning at 7am. She finally arrived here at 1pm. It was a very long trip for a baby horse, but she arrived in great condition. Big thumbs up for Woodville Horse Transport, who a year and a week to the day brought Mack up via the same route.
Princess has also returned to Waterford Estate for the winter so after a wee chill out in the yards we introduced her to Ciara who was too busy snoozing to take much notice. Princess and Mack were reacquainted with much squealing on Princess's part, but all were happy and pretty chilled out. we put them together in the paddock which went smoothly with no dramas. Princess is a fabulous mare to have in a herd situation and has been taking her job very seriously. She is very protective of Ciara and won't let Mack anywhere near her. Ciara went for a bit of a canter around while Mack was showing off and bouncing around, but other than that, she wasn't all that fussed by anything and hasn't stopped eating since she arrived.
I checked them just before dark and came across three very happy ponies doing what they do best, heads down eating. A big thank you to Louise Wilsden of Talisman Farm Sport Horses who very generously lent me her precious Hooty for a year. Without her, I wouldn't have my very special wee girl.

OMG, she is so cute Annika, what an absolute darling! And your blog is fantastic aswell, you have a beautiful property and its amazing how much you and your hubby have done in a year! Good on you and be proud, its awesome.
